In an interview with the "Mirror" program, Egyptian actor Ahmed Ezz spoke about the last 48 hours of his mother's life before she passed away from cancer in 2008. He spoke of his mother's strength and patience, as she continued to go for chemotherapy and care for her family despite the difficulties. Ezz expressed his deep sadness over what his mother went through and stated that she suffered from the disease from 1995 to 2008. Ezz revealed that his mother had instructed him not to inform his father and siblings about the nature of her illness, but they found out about it shortly before her death. He recounted his last visit to his mother in the hospital two days before she passed away, where she seemed very happy and content despite her condition. Ezz admitted to making the biggest mistake of his life by going to film his new movie "Transit Prison" 24 hours after his mother's passing, in an attempt to distract himself from his grief. However, he realized the gravity of his decision when he returned home after filming and felt extremely lonely and lost. Ezz's new film "Transit Prison," directed by Sandra Nashaat, is his third collaboration with her after "Alexandria's Angel" and "The Hostage." The film features Iman El Asi in her first cinema experience and stars Nour El Sherif, among others. Currently, Ezz's film "El-Ka'diya" (The Judgement) is playing in cinemas. The film stars Ezz, Amr Youssef, Karim Qassem, Assem Yassen, Said Ragab, Tyson Fury, and guest stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Fahmy, and Raza Maghrebi. The screenplay is by Salah el-Gohary, and the film is directed by Tarek Al-Erian.
